BEHOLD: to see, to have vision, perceive, to look at, regard, look after, see after, learn about, observe, watch, look upon, look out, find out, to see, observe, consider, give attention to, discern, distinguish.

We are delighted to announce the first “Advanced Israel Study Tour” in December 2011

This tour is being made available only to graduates of the “Mount Carmel School of Ministry” & will be for the deepening of revelation & burden Alumni have already received. The desired outcome of this tour is that, given the urgency of the times, participants will learn to pray more effectively through God’s word; be able to answer biblically the various challenges against Israel’s existence & presence in the land; & to apprehend more fully the God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob as we Behold Him in, & through, the fulfilling of His covenant promises concerning the land & people of Israel.

The duration of the tour will be 10 days, with extensive touring throughout Israel, including Judea & Samaria. Teaching in the tour will be provided by Phillip Israelson, Peter Tsukahira, & other well respected teachers from within the land (to be finalized). Our main tour guide for the tour will be Hanna Ben-Haim, known already to most SOM graduates. Included will be a two night stay at beautiful Ma’agan on the Sea of Galilee & a visit to Deganya, Israel’s first kibbutz. Also, meetings with representatives of settlement communities, & opportunities to learn & pray at key Biblical sites, such as Hebron, a city with a 4000-year history of Jewish presence; Bethel, where Jacob saw angels ascending & descending from heaven; Alon Moreh, near where God appeared to Abraham at the oak of Moreh; & Shiloh, where the ark of God rested until it was taken by the Philistines. Along with these historical foundations we will also be learning of the present realities facing those who have returned to Israel, & of the present & future threats to their security.

The tour at present will be available in English only, so we ask individuals/groups requiring translation not to apply at this time. Again we would stress that this is a tour which is currently open only to graduates of the Mount Carmel School of Ministry.

The cost of the tour is $1800 for the land package based on double-occupancy (single supplements, add $614). This includes accommodations, half board (breakfast & dinner), tour transportation, teachers, guides, & tips. This does not include airfare, lunches or snacks, or love gifts/offerings for places & people we visit. For any early arrivals or extended stays beyond the dates of the tour, you are responsible for your own arrangements (accommodations, meals, & airport transfers).

"Over the past ten years, many participants in the Mt. Carmel School of Ministry (SOM) have asked me if we were ever going to offer a more advanced study tour in Israel. Now, Phil Israelson and his ministry team are offering what promises to be the next step for SOM "graduates" who desire to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of Israel. I am excited about what God has planned for this new program and look forward to being a part of it myself."

Peter Tsukahira, Director, Mt Carmel School of Ministry

As believers we are all called to a journey of faith, led by the Spirit of God to grow in likeness to our LORD & Savior. “Beholding” or “Seeing” is a vital part of this process. In Genesis 22 God was revealed to Abraham upon Mt Moriah as “Jehovah Jireh,” “The LORD Will See.” God’s seeing resulted in provision, the giving of Himself which was ultimately accomplished in the person & work of the Lord Jesus. In the same way, as we “Behold” His land, His people & His Holy Name, we too will be led to give of ourselves for the fulfilling of His eternal purpose.

God’s Word is the lens through which we see the world around us. In these times of increased subjectivity & relativism, there is a serious need not only to guard ourselves from spiritual deception, but to function as the salt & light to others God calls us to be. Nowhere is this spiritual battle for truth more frequently witnessed than in the way Israel is daily assaulted & delegitimized in all our media &, more disturbingly, even in some pulpits.

The Advanced Israel Study Tour is for those who want to know God’s objective truth on the matter of His land, His people, & how they are inextricably linked to His Holy Name. Our desire for you is that you would understand the importance & significance of the biblical heartland of Judea & Samaria, as well as the city where God has placed His name forever, Jerusalem.

We want you to be able to pray biblically grounded prayers that you know are God’s heart, standing on God’s very own promises & praying them back to Him, wielding God’s word as the sword it truly is. From a solid biblical understanding of God’s promises, you will then be “able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition” (2Timothy 2:23-24). Become better equipped to stand, & keep standing, with God--not only for Israel--but for all His eternal purposes as the spiritual battle increasingly intensifies.
